In the -52 kg category, the highlight of the day was Soumiya Iraoui (MAR), who retained her title and climbed to the top step of the continental podium for the fifth time in her career. She dominated Faiza Aissahine (ALG) in the final. The bronze medals went to Chaima Sidaoui (TUN) and Marie Céline Baba Matic (CMR).
In the -73 kg category, Hassan Doukkali won the second gold medal for the Moroccan delegation, beating Aliddine Ben Chalbi (TUN) into second place, while Messaoud Redouane Dris (ALG) and Ahmed Mehibel (ALG) won the bronze medals.
In the -60 kg category, Egypt's Youssry Samy (EGY) defeated Leonardo Barros (ENG) in the final. Ahmed Alaoui Cherifi (MAR) and Fraj Dhouibi (TUN) completed the podium.
In the first final of the day, in the -48 kg category, Oumaima Bedioui (TUN) won ahead of Houaria Kaddour (ALG), while Maria Segunda (ANG) and Noura Salem (EGY) finished third.
The -66 kg title went to Edmilson Pedro (ANG) ahead of Senegal's Mouhamedou Mboup. Rachid Cherrab (ALG) and Abderrahmane Boushita (MAR) finished third.
Guinea excelled in the -57 kg category, thanks to Mariana Esteves (GUI), who held off Andreza Antonio (ANG) in the final. Tassnim Roshdy (EGY) and Khadidja Bekheira (ALG) completed the podium.
South Africa also won a title thanks to Jasmine Martin (RSA) who beat Chaimae Taibi (MAR) in the -63 kg category. Amina Belkadi (ALG) and Fatma Ghamen (EGY) also reached the podium.
