We are everywhere, organising tournaments, preparing for the Olympics and foreseeing the future, which is called Paris 2024.

A few days ago, IJF General Secretary Jean Luc Rougé visited the Grand Palais Ephémère which will host the Olympic and Paralympic judo events in Paris in 2024. The wrestling events will take place there too. It is located just a few hundred metres from the Eiffel Tower, in front of the Ecole Militaire, in the heart of Paris.

“It's a surprising structure, with a cocoon effect and we are assured that the acoustics will be exceptional. In addition, the deadlines will be respected because the work will soon be finished. When the time comes, we will have to build a space for the warm-up room. We will be in the centre of Paris an so, yes, I'm satisfied,” said Rougé.

The chosen arena space will be able to accommodate 9000 spectators. The Palace is built from wood and covered with multiple layers, for an excellent climate and sound insulation. Inside, the beams are hidden and covered with a magnificent navy blue structure.

All ancillary infrastructures, for judo and wrestling, will be built close to the beach volleyball stadium, located in the direction of the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro park will host the Fan Zone.

Judo will truly be in the heart of Paris and will there be right at the heart of the Games.
