In the heart of Riyadh, the judo community witnessed one of the most important moments of the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games 2025, the official draw for the judo competition. Set to take place at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City from 8th to 10th November, the event is already shaping up to be a major milestone for the sport with 158 individual competitors from 32 nations across the men’s and women’s divisions.

As the draw was revealed, a tangible sense of anticipation swept through the venue. For many judoka and participating nations, this moment represents not just another tournament but an opportunity to step onto a grand stage of solidarity and competition under the theme ‘One Nation.’

What makes this edition particularly compelling is its inclusive reach and the emphasis on unity across the Islamic sporting world. Athletes from 3 continents will compete and with 16 medal events in judo alone, every category promises stories of determination, discipline and pride.

For a sport rooted in values of respect, harmony and mutual growth, the Riyadh judo draw has set the tone. From seasoned champions to emerging talent, each competitor now knows their pathway, their opponents and their moment to shine.

As the date of the first contest draws nearer, the excitement grows not just with what will happen on the tatami but with what these Games represent: a bridge between nations, a celebration of culture through sport and the pure joy of judo.

When the first “Hajime!” is called in Riyadh, the world will watch and judo will once again show that it’s not just about winning, it’s about connection, respect and the power of togetherness.
