The Judo Federation of Australia are making a big investment in their adaptive judo provision. Twenty team members have made the long trip to Japan for the immersive judo and cultural trip of a lifetime.

Judo Australia said, “Our Adaptive team of athletes, coaches and support crew are in Japan attending an international adaptive judo training camp, hosted from 3rd-6th May 2025 at the Nihon Bunka University in Tokyo."

"The international adaptive camp includes lectures on the history of Jigoro Kano, a traditional tea ceremony & active games, as well a series of 2 hour training sessions on the tatami. There will also be a friendly competition, the Ninagawa Cup.

We are pleased to have been able to provide a small subsidy for these athletes and coaches to attend this trip of a lifetime.”
