At every World Judo Tour event, a great deal of work goes on behind the scenes, laying the foundations for development activities and the organisation of future events.
While in Tashkent IJF President Mr Marius Vizer met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan His Excellency President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for a special award ceremony, during which Mr Vizer was presented with the Friendship award of Uzbekistan.
Mr Vizer said, “It is a great pleasure to meet H.E. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan to discuss global sport and judo development. I am honoured to receive the ‘Friendship’ award in recognition of our shared commitment to unity, respect and the power of sport.
