For two years since the qualification period for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games began, the moment of the announcement of the Olympic qualifiers was awaited with an impatience that was both controlled and undisguised by all the delegations and athletes. While the qualification period ended last weekend at the end of the Lima Panamerican Open 2024, after a careful verification of the lists, the International Judo Federation has just published them by weight category, by nation, as well as for the teams that have obtained the quota to participate in the mixed team tournament.

The next step will take place on 2nd July when the NOCs (National Olympic Committees) will have to nominate which athletes will represent them, knowing that only one judoka per NOC can participate in the Games in each weight category. In other words, if a country has several judoka qualified in a given weight category, only one can be chosen to participate this summer.

By then, with the lists now known, the athletes' preparation will be able to continue before the judo world gathers on 27th July to attend the Olympic tournament, undoubtedly one of the most anticipated in the modern history of judo.
