On the margins of the 2026 Baku World Championships, International Judo Federation President Mr Marius Vizer met with FIDE President Mr Timur Turlov.
FIDE, the International Chess Federation, is the worldwide governing body for chess. The meeting brought together the leaders of two major international organisations, each committed to the development of its discipline across all continents and to the promotion of educational sporting values.
The exchange offered an opportunity to discuss the shared role of international federations in supporting athletes, strengthening their global communities and using sport as a force for dialogue, respect and co-operation.
