2024 is no exception and has seen 900 judoka descend upon the tatami. There is an over-riding feeling of friendship and camaraderie as world number ones, Olympic champions and organisers welcome new generations to the most intense but functional melting pot of judo.
From 8th to 16th January the camp is run with the judo values at its heart while providing the very best conditions for improvement and practice. The timing couldn’t be better too, as within a fortnight the World Judo Tour launches its 2024 season in Portugal, followed quickly by the 50th edition of the Paris Grand Slam.
It’s already all go for the new year and the main event of the calendar is now only months away, a few short months of qualification and refinement. Austria has, as always, fulfilled the brief, setting the organisational bar high for the events to come. This is what is required. Thank you Austria!
