The IJF will renew its Athletes Commission at the 2017 Suzuki World Judo Championships in Budapest to be held from 28th August - 3rd September.
Five athletes will be elected for the four years period 2017-2020 and candidates must be 18 or older on the date of elections and have participated either in the Olympic Games or IJF World Championships and have never been found guilty of a doping offence during their sporting career.
Only National Federations affiliated to IJF may propose one candidate.
The deadline for proposing a candidate is 7th August before the full list of the candidates will be published on 14th August.
Election results will be announced on the last individual competition in Budapest and the new Commission members will be introduced at the competition.
