The World Combat Games is an international multi-sport festival that brings together ancient traditions and exciting competitions, as well as sport demonstrations. It will feature 16 combat sport and martial arts competitions, sports demonstrations and educational conferences hosted by leading martial arts experts.
Riyadh will therefore be the beating heart of combat sports in October and will be the perfect bridge between elite sport and local communities.

The World Combat Games concept aims for a compact and manageable event which offers cities an opportunity for focused international promotion, to engage with the youth of their communities and to promote public health and wellness agendas through inspiring initiatives, encouraging participation in combat sports.

On 17th July the official logo of the WCG2023 was released. "Intertwining the Arab originality that characterises the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the essence of martial arts heroism, the tournament’s logo encapsulates the indomitable spirit and determination to triumph over challenges. The emblem’s remarkable centerpiece truly sets it apart; the fighter’s head, creatively enhanced, symbolising unity and celebrating the cultural vibrancy of Arabic calligraphy. The logo incorporates the elegant curves and angles of Arabic calligraphy, as the head was replaced by a slanted square, skillfully inspired by the point in Arabic letters, adorning the silhouette, to deliver an artistic touch and a distinctive Arabic aesthetic to the logo," explained the organisers.
During the judo event, the five continents will be represented by their best teams, including Japan, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Brazil. There are now less than 90 days to wait until the excitement of the World Combat Games 2023!
