For 15 years, the World Judo Tour has stopped off every year in Abu Dhabi for its now traditional grand slam, one of the most important events on the international calendar. This year, the stopover is significant because, after the Zagreb Grand Prix a few weeks ago, it is the first grand slam of the new cycle, that which opened the day after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and will conclude in four years in Los Angeles.
