The German Judo Federation offered over 50 workshops within 4 days including a wide variety of topics, such as judo classes by weight categories, Yoga classes, randori sessions, kata courses and additionally a taste of Capoeira.
The classes were taught by many famous Judo teachers, including german national team coaches, Simon Schnell, Winston Gordon and Yasuko Haramaki. The coaches were joined by over 400 participants from all over Germany. The major organisation and realization of the event was achieved by many volunteers, with the support of DAX-Sports.
Winston Gordon from the United Kingdom, 5th place in 2004 Athens Olympic Games and winner of several European championships, taught a couple of classes, including “Grip’n Throw” and “Big Throws”.
He was joined by Ilse Heylen of Belgium, a bronze medallist of the Athens Games as well and winner of the European Championships in 2005. Ilse gave to the participants the unique opportunity to learn her special techniques.
Over all the participants got lots of opportunities to see and learn new things and they could improve their Judo skills thanks to the wide variety of coaches and teachers who dedicated their time.
