The delegations of the 7 participating nations arrived yesterday in Ulaanbaatar, the Capital City of Mongolia, for the 1st CISM East Asia Judo Tournament.

Organized under the aegis of CISM, this tournament, hosted by the Mongolian Delegation to CISM together with the International Judo Federation, will gather the athletes from the Armed Forces of following countries: China, Kazakhstan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Russian Federation and Vietnam. Through this important event, CISM will try to strengthen the relationships between the Armed Forces from all over the world.

The Opening Press Conference took place today in presence of Colonel Abdulhakim Alshino, CISM President, Colonel Dorah Mamby Koita, CISM Secretary General, Colonel Dorjderem Gankhuyag, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Colonel Gelegjamts Usukhbayar, Member of the Mongolian Delegation to CISM and member of the OC, Lieutenant-Colonel Fred Sijnhorst, Judo PCSC, and Colonel Stefan Marginean, Manager of the IJF Military and Police Commission. This Press Conference was conducted to update the local and international press on the situation of the tournament and inform them about the organizational aspects of the tournament.

The tournament will officially start tomorrow, September 8, with the Opening Ceremony and the first competitions that will take place Buyant Ukhaa Sports Complex.

This event will be broadcasted live on two Mongolian TV Channels C1 and ETV and a livestreaming of the event will be available for the general audience.
