Everything went perfectly from start to finish, giving the 528 judoka from 78 countries the opportunity to fully express themselves. While the Abu Dhabi World Championships 2024 are fast approaching and everyone is already thinking about the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Linz allowed everyone to take stock of the work that still remains to be done for these two major events to take place in the best possible conditions.
What we can say is that in Austria there was a lot of love. Love for beautiful judo and great performances, simply love for judo, the very one which conveys the values of respect and mutual aid that we all need.
As we close this sporting chapter, a huge thank you can be addressed to all the organisers and participants. We must now pack our bags and prepare for the next stage of the World Judo Tour which will take place in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, from 22nd to 24th March. The next two weeks will be used to further refine the final technical-tactical details. The holidays are not for anyone right away, and the coming weeks promise to be exciting.
