Twenty-seven delegations from across the world have travelled to Egypt, specifically Giza, a place known worldwide for its incredible history. With an awe-inspiring backdrop of the pyramids, an image recognised by people from all continents, this African destination is setting a high bar for the future of IBSA judo.
Getting ready.

Among the judoka competing are Paralympic and IBSA world medallists. They have arrived in North Africa and as the competition begins at the Hall of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Giza, athletes, coaches, referees, organisers and staff are all excited for the two days ahead.

Enjoying the experience.
Focus.

Sixteen gold medals in total, across the J1 (blind) and J2 (visually impaired) categories, will be distributed among the 124 athletes present. No medal will be won easily as the level of IBSA judo is rising year on year. At each tournament we see newcomers putting pressure on the incumbent champions and this is the mark of a competitive field.
