The MOU was signed by IJF President Mr. Marius L. Vizer and World Taekwondo and THF President Chungwon Choue during the opening day of the World Taekwondo Championships.

President Vizer presented an IJF plaque to President Chungwon Choue

Under the terms of the MOU, the three organisations have committed to develop close collaboration in:

· Promoting sport as a powerful vehicle towards peace, social development and integration of vulnerable populations

· Uniting forces in offering sport for development and peace activities in the geographical areas where THF, WT and IJF are already providing services as well as potentially other locations worldwide

· Exchanging and sharing expertise and information

President Vizer received a World Taekwondo President's Black Belt from President Chungwon Choue

IJF President Marius L. Vizer said: “It is a great honour for the IJF to have this partnership. We have great experience and we have initiated many programmes in refugee camps. We are ready to be partners with mutual reciprocity and we will deliver a good example for world sport.”

World Taekwondo President Choue said: “We are delighted to partner with the IJF to enhance the support we can provide refugees around the world. WT, THF and IJF have delivered many positive programmes in refugee camps and through this MOU our organisations will be able to work together, share information and ultimately deliver even greater opportunities for those who need it the most.”
