Following official communications received by the International Judo Federation, the Russian Judo Federation and the Belarussian Judo Federation have decided that it is in their best interests and in the best interests of their athletes, for reasons of both logistics and safety, that for the foreseeable future they withdraw from all international events. There will be no Russian or Belarussian athletes participating in IJF and EJU events, with immediate effect.
