Organised by the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) in collaboration with Pakistan’s navy, the championship delivered fierce competition among many top teams. The Pakistan navy team finished as runners-up, earning 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the men’s section, along with 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals in the women’s categories.
The championship featured participation from six major teams, competing across various weight categories.
The closing ceremony was graced by Captain Kamran, Director of Sports of the Pakistan navy. The event was also attended by the president of the Pakistan Judo Federation, Col. Junaid Alam, along with Major Naveed, the team manager of Pak-Army, and executive members of the PJF. The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Pakistan Sports Board Deputy Director General Mr Shahid ul Islam.
The federation declared, "The championship provided a valuable platform for athletes to showcase their skills, exchange knowledge and refine their techniques. It reinforced a commitment to promoting judo in Pakistan and maintained high standards of competition and refereeing, ensuring a positive image of the sport in the country."
For many years, judo has been developing steadily in Pakistan in many sectors, including in the army, like with this championship, but also in the educational field, increasing the popularity of the sport across all social layers of society. Particular attention is given to the development of women's judo and the first edition of the Inter-Department National Judo Event for women was a good exemple of that.
