This week the Pan-American Judo Confederation announced their 2025 CPJ Annual Award winners. Following a period of rigorous assessment, record keeping and monitoring, the CPJ released the names of their continental union award recipients, those leading with excellence in technical management, those personnel who can be congratulated for their performance, ethics and professionalism.

The CPJ said, “These leaders have not only achieved exceptional sporting results, but they are also true ambassadors of Professor Jigoro Kano's values. Each of the winners has met the highest standards as set forth in the Evaluation and Voting Manual. Their work is the pillar upon which the success of our athletes and the growth of judo across Pan-America is built.”

Veteran Coach of the Year: Rosana Barros (BRA)

Kata Coach of the Year: Rob Schab (USA)

Paralympic and Adaptive Coach of the Year: Ms Ivis Dueñas Alonso (CUB)

Junior Coach of the Year: Ms Erika Miranda (BRA)
