President Vizer - who presented the Crown Prince of Fujairah with a Jigoro Kano figure, designed by the Hungary-based company and IJF official partner Herend Porcelain, and in turn accepted a special plaque of the competition – thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi for organising the continental championships in Fujairah and for supporting judo.
Discussions about plans for more events and bigger events in the region took place as well as the possibility of combining a competition with a business forum.
President Vizer extended an invitation for the Crown Prince of Fujairah to visit the IJF Presidential Office in Budapest, Hungary and to attend the 2019 World Judo Championships in Tokyo, Japan in August.
The inaugural Asian Pacific Championships concluded on Tuesday with the team event. Click here for the individual results.
