The Reims Kata World Series 2025 took place on Saturday, 12th April in France. The event attracted 69 pairs from 13 countries, representing three continents. This second edition of the Kata World Series, after the first in Leuven, Belgium, a few weeks ago, was a great success in terms of participation and level.

Seven categories were contested: nage-no-kata, nage-no-kata U21, kagame-no-kata, juno-kata, juno-kata U21, kime-no-kata, and goshin-jutsu. At the end of the day, Italy topped the podium with three gold medals and one bronze medal, closely followed by France with two gold medals, one silver and three bronze medals. In third place was Belgium with one gold, two silvers and two bronze medals.

Throughout the day, the participants displayed total commitment, precision pushed to its peak, total concentration and absolute respect. In a few months, most of the judoka present in Reims, and others, will meet again to win the coveted world title. Between now and then, they will all have the opportunity to refine their kata in order to deliver top-level performances.
