England dominated the Commonwealth Youth Games judo event in the Bahamas on Tuesday as they won four of the eight gold medals up for grabs.

10 of the 17 nations competing won medals as England ran away with the medal table with a haul of four gold medals and one bronze. 

Australia, Scotland, India and Zambia all won one gold medal apiece as young commonwealth judoka showed the diversity of judo at this developmental level. 

Judo will become a core sport in the Commonwealth Games programme from 2022.
