The end of the year is fast approaching and the IJF Academy, which has been on the front lines of development throughout the year and especially in the last few weeks, was once again in action for a new practical session in order to award new valuable internationally recognised judo coach diplomas.

This was the 10th time since 2014 that the IJF Academy was present in Dunavarsany, Hungary. If we add to this the 6 sessions held in Tata, it was the 16th practical session organised in the country. This could not have been possible without the continued professional support of the Hungarian Judo Association.

Thus, in October 2024, there were 19 countries represented in Dunavarsany. 55 students graduated, from which 20 were Hungarians. Dr Laszlo Toth, Hungarian Judo Association and EJU President as well as IJF Vice-President, visited the session and greeted the participants.

The last day of the event was dedicated to the launch of the Kata for All programme (READ THE STORY) which was attended by more than 60 local participants.

This session, which received, once again, the support of IOC Olympic Solidarity, was actually the last that was scheduled in 2024. During this year, ten sessions were supported by IOC OS, for a total of 367 UCJI graduates.

Hungary was well represented during that last session since the national federation introduced the IJF Academy UCJI qualification requirement for their judo coach qualifications in Hungary in 2023. As a consequence the Hungarian students must enroll on the UCJI course to obtain the qualification and finalise their Hungarian education process.

Preparations for the 2025 practical sessions are on the way and the IJF Academy will publish the practical session calendar before December.
