The first edition was held in Malta in 2009 and now
30 countries have arrived in Malta from five continents as China, Poland and
Tunisia are among the participants for the first time.
All reigning world champions from Amsterdam 2015
are in Malta where 88 couples will compete across the following disciplines:
Nage No Kata : 17
Katame No Kata: 23
Juno Kata : 18
Kime no Kata: 13
Kodokan Goshin Jitsu: 17

The youngest couple from the competition comes from Colombia and are only 19 years old while the oldest are 65 and hail from Portugal.
Schedule: Start 9:00 – Final 14:30
Saturday 1st October: Nage No Kata - Katame No Kata- Juno Kata - start 9:00 – Final 14:30
Sunday 2nd October: Kime no Kata, Kodokan Goshin Jitsu - start 9:00 – Final 15:00
The competition will be followed by a training camp on Monday and Tuesday with 118 participants including IJF and Kodokan experts.
