Last July, the IOC launched the process for the IOC Athletes’ Commission elections that will take place during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Three judoka have now been proposed by their NOCs.
The three judo candidates are:
- Melissa Mojica Rosario (PUR)
- Paula Belén Pareto (ARG)
- Georgii Zantaraia (UKR)
The IOC Executive Board decision on the candidates took place on 29th November just before the names were revealed.
To be eligible and presented to the IOC Executive Board for confirmation and subsequently be included in the election process, the athletes had to fulfill a number of criteria, including the fact that they must not have been found guilty of any doping offence or other ethical violation during their sporting career.
