It is with great sadness that the judo family received the news of the passing of Eng. Baker K. Abbadi, President of the Jordan Judo Federation, on 14th April 2021, after a lengthy and exhaustive illness.

IJF President, Marius Vizer said, "President Abbadi dedicated his life to the service and development of sport and judo, promoting their values in Jordan and worldwide. On behalf of the International Judo Federation, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to President Abbadi’s close family and friends, as well as to the Jordan Judo Federation. Our thoughts accompany you in these difficult moments."

Ali S. Malhas, Vice-President of the Jordan Judo Federation said, “The pain associated with communicating this sad news is excruciating. Yet, the reality of death must be endured.
