It’s nearly June. This means it’s time to get active as Olympic Day – celebrated on 23 June – is fast-approaching!
Originally started back in 1948, Olympic Day commemorates the birth of the modern Olympic Games (23 June 1894) and, based on the three pillars of move, learn and discover, promotes a healthy and active lifestyle. Year after year, National Olympic Committees (NOCs) - the entities responsible for organising Olympic Day events in their territories – are, through sporting, cultural and educational activities, translating Olympic Day into action around the globe.
Olympic Day events will be taking place all over the world. The IJF encourages all judoka to be active and to organise a special training session on or around 23 June.
