The Stipendium Hungaricum Sport Scholarship Programme is a successful education initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and the Tempus Foundation, in partnership with the International Judo Federation and the Hungarian Judo Association, that supports the dual careers of athletes, offering talented judoka students the possibility to advance and combine their academic and sports careers, while being immersed in a new culture and language in Hungary, enriching their academic and personal journeys.

President Marius Vizer gave a warm welcome to the visiting students Kimy Bravo Blanco (Cuba), Diego Calix (El Salvador), Aquilina Chayeb (Lebanon), Jamison Dick (Seychelles) and Tabitha Wambui Mailu (Kenya), at the IJF headquarters, where meaningful exchanges took place about their studies, training and experiences during their stay in Hungary.

President Vizer remarked that it is always inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of young individuals who are not only eager to pursue their dreams through education and mutual understanding but are also committed to becoming active contributors and mentors in their home countries.

Such initiatives build bridges across cultures and empower the next generation to shape a brighter future for their communities and beyond, all while ensuring they manage a dual career in academics and sport successfully.
