56 students from 22 countries arrived in Hungary for this new practical session, which will deliver precious diplomas. Among the students is Barbara Matic (CRO), Olympic, world and European champion. During the week, the participants will benefit from the expertise of Florin Daniel Lascau, Slavisa Bradic, Mark Huizinga, Daniela Kruwkower, Tina Trstenjak and Yuki Arikawa.
In front of all the students, a new step was taken with the signature of the Memorandum Of Understanding between the IJF Academy, represented by Envic Galea, chair of the Academy, and the Ovidius University of Constanta, represented by Prof. PhD Ionel Melenco, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Prof. Eng. George Teseleanu co-signed the MoU, as his club, the Panathlon Club, will provide the judo facilities free of charge for the students.
The MoU, which will help to develop and support judo education and coaching programmes, focuses on supporting judo education, accessing training facilities, offering academic and professional development, delivering courses and certification and exchanging knowledge.
